KD Policies

  • Kappa Delta membership comes with many rewards, but also expectations. Primary among them is that members respect the sorority and commit to making the Kappa Delta chapter – and thus the national organization – the very best it can be. More than ever before, we need to be equipped with a reliable internal compass: a set of values, an appreciation of our own worth, and an attitude of uncompromising respect for ourselves and others.

Along with the respect and commitment comes adherence to rules. No organization – especially one that involves as much intimacy as a sisterhood – can thrive without policies and standards that must be observed. Kappa Delta’s rules range from behavior expectations to financial commitments, including:

    • Kappa Delta expects each member to wear her KD letters with pride and to act like a lady at all times, both in person and on the Internet.
    • Kappa Delta expects its members to be fully participating, enthusiastic and informed chapter members.
    • Kappa Delta expects its members to do their best academically, and to seek assistance when needed. Going to class and studying must be a No. 1 priority for college students.
    • Kappa Delta expects its members to meet their financial obligations to the sorority.
    • Kappa Delta has a strong stand on hazing, and absolutely will not tolerate hazing of any kind.
    • Kappa Delta members must abide by the sorority’s guidelines on alcohol consumption and social events.
