About KD

  • What is Kappa Delta Sorority?

    Simply stated, “Kappa Delta” is more than a century-old sisterhood of over 200,000 initiated members, formed for the purpose of promoting and encouraging women to be their best selves through the power of friendship. Kappa Delta offers its members a group of sisters to share with, laugh with and cry with – friends who support each other and stand by each other today, tomorrow and throughout the years.

    Kappa Delta makes great things happen in women’s lives and on campuses and in communities across the country. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs, one-of-a-kind partnerships and exciting community service opportunities, helping each member reach her full potential and make a lasting impact on the world around her. Our core values, which bind all KDs together, are described as “Live GREAT”:

    G – growth through lifetime learning;
    R – responsibility for our own integrity and ethical actions;
    E – engagement in social and civic interests;
    A – altruistic service to others;
    T – truth and loyalty to each other.

    Kappa Delta is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference, composed of 26 national collegiate sororities and women’s fraternities. Since 1912 Kappa Delta has been a highly valued member of the Conference. It is also one of the largest. Kappa Delta abides by all NPC Unanimous Agreements concerning conduct and ethics.
